The Modern Medievalist aka David Baker was once a construction worker, who for various reasons left that industry and became a newspaper reporter. For him it was like coming home to a place he had not known he was missing… But the print industry died. He found he was also unwilling to give up interviewing interesting people. So in the end, he  combined his life long love of (medieval) history with his love of journalism. The result is a an interesting blog on all things “medieval in a modern setting” – not least the business and love of reenactment, living history and sword play in the 21st century.
