Mélanie Bruniaux also known as Anima Keltia is a Celtic and Medieval music harpist. In her first record she presents a pleasing, if not revolutionary repertoire. A fine choice for medieval music to be played at private feast.
Vitae Domina. Anima Keltia
Mélanie Bruniaux also known as Anima Keltia is a Celtic and Medieval music harpist. She was born in Belgium but she’s currently living in Italy. February 2016 her first album was released, comprising medieval and renaissance music performed on the Celtic harp. Artists are Mélanie Bruniaux(Anima Keltia), Bodhram and Percussions (Andreè Bottiglioni), Flutes (Amélie Grunenberger), Voice (Lucia de Carlo).
With a repertoire including tunes such as “Greensleeves”, “Douce Dame Jolie”, “Give me your Hand”, “Chanson de Table”, “Scarborouh Fair” and many others from Britanny, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain and other areas of the Celtic world, this is not a record for the medieval “feinschmecker”.
However, with a pleasing sound and its soothing and harmonious rendition the record should lend a special aura to any medieval event; as such it should be heartily recommended.
