An international conference to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the battle of Agincourt.
The conference will take place at the University of Southampton between Friday 31 July and Monday 3 August 2015.
Call for papers
The conference will have three main themes and have parallel sessions:
- War on Land (including arms, armour and archaeology)
- War on Sea (including maritime history and archaeology)
- The Culture of War
We are keen to have proposals for 30 minute academic papers in these areas, covering any period from c. 1200 to the mid sixteenth century, and any area of Europe. Please send an abstract of c.300 words to Agincourt@southampton.ac.uk by 29 April 2015.
On Saturday 1 August we will be running a Public History Event in Southampton in collaboration with The Battlefield Trust. For this we are looking for shorter individual and group presentations aimed at a non-academic audience.

We are pleased to announce that bookings for the forthcoming international conference to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt which takes place at the University of Southampton between Friday 31 July and Monday 3
This will be a very special event with privileged visits to the Mary Rose, Porchester Castle, Titchfield Barn (which is now a theatre), Titchfield Abbey along with the conference dinner being held at Fort Nelson, which includes a private tour of the Fort. There will be a wide range of other talks and other special events including a visit to the defences of Southampton.
The conference will start on Friday 31 July at 14.00 (registration from 12.00) and close at 12.00 on Monday 3 August 2015.
