The Medieval Book in Terms of Quantitative Methods

The Medieval Book in Terms of Quantitative Methods, a summer school in Paris, teaches students to compare medieval books

The Medieval Book in Terms of Quantitative Methods introduces students to the tools available for registering, studying and comparing large amounts of different manuscripts – focus is on palaeography, codicology, illuminations etc.

This summer course is organized by the Laboratoire de Médiévistique occidentale de Paris, l’Institut de Recherche et d’Histoire des Textes, et l’Université de Namur; with the support of le soutien du LabEx Histoire et anthropologie des savoirs, des techniques et des croyances, du Conseil scientifique de l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne et de l’Association paléographique internationale Culture – Écriture – Société (Dotations J. M. M. Hermans)
